Brought to you by Colina Cranachan and Croissant Industries- Making Baking Simple
This week I decided to make things easy for myself and made some very easy, very delicious croissants. Don't just let me tell you, let Colina Cranachan explain how it changed their life in the video at the bottom of the page.
1x block of ready made puff pastry
1x egg yolk
Take your block of puff pastry and roll it out into a rectangle roughly 40cm long by 26cm wide. As long as it is 5mm thick
Trim the edges to neaten up. Cut in half horizontally, then cut in half vertically. Then each new rectangle diagonally to create 8 triangles.
Take a triangle and roll it from the fat end to the thin pointy end.
Coat in egg yolk to make it shiny.
Pop into the oven at 200ºC for 10-15 minutes or until fully puffed and golden brown. Feel free to add more egg yolk half way through for a good even colour.
There you have it. Simple.
